I put the complete version of “The Instant Animator Machine” on my Vimeo page. This short was created in 2001. I did receive some help in sound effects and tape layoff. But, the visuals themselves only took me a couple of weeks of off time work to complete. It was fun. And it wasn’t really meant to go anywhere. However, it ended up in the 2001 Siggraph Electronic Theater. Seeing it played in the Shrine Auditorium in LA was awesome. It also appeared on a tv show called “EyeDrops”.
Since then, it has been sitting in storage.. Until now anyway.

I was cleaning up my computer and came across this animation test from a year or more ago. It was one of those quickie things I did over a weekend. The model/rig was some generic one found on the internet somewhere. I don’t remember much about the rig, although I seem to recall it having an issue with its legs, so I made sure I animated something where he was seated the whole time.

I have a blog? Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Well, here we are. Nearing the end of May. The last 6 months have been crazy. Not because of work, but because of doing stuff around the house. I committed almost full time to getting the house fixed up. Painting and repairs. All that fun stuff. I’m happy to report that I’m done. The house is perfect! I can’t find anything else to do on it. Okay, maybe that is a lie. However, I can say that all the walls are painted and repairs have been made. It looks pretty darn good. Yay!

I just finished up animation on a commercial the other day. Actually, I may have to do some tweaking next week. But for the most part, it is done. It was great fun. Looks like I’ll get about a week or two rest before a new one starts up. Keep it coming, I say!
Well, glad you stopped by. Come back again in a year for the next post! :D
