After a couple of weeks off, I’m back to work. Currently animating on a commercial in the city (San Francisco). Between the freelance project and baby stuff, it is hard to find time for much else. However, I’ve managed to do a little writing on a story I’m working, but other than that, trying to catch up on sleep is pretty high on the list.
I haven’t been entering TDDUP in any festivals lately. My to-do list contains a line item to do just that. Hopefully, I’ll get to it soon. Just to make myself even busier, I’ve put my old short, “Instant Animator Machine” on DVD to send to festivals as well. Since this short is more than a couple of years old, I’m limited to where I can send it.
Happy Holidays!
I’ve really become bad at updating this blog. It isn’t like I’m not thinking about writing here, I just can’t seem to get myself to do it. So here I am, another post without a whole lot to say.
I do have an exciting announcement, my wife Tara and I have just had our baby son born on November 27th. Tyler Michael May came into this world at 6lbs and 15 ounces. Everyone is healthy and happy. All of my friends told me how rough it would be, how little sleep I’d get, etc, etc. So far, it has all been a big lie. :) Tyler has been cooperating and things are going really well. Knock on wood, sleep hasn’t been a problem!
Sadly, on Monday I go back to work. I would of liked a little more time off, but in the world of self employment, sometimes you have to take the projects as they come as it can often be unsteady. This latest project is a short one here in San Francisco and I’ll be back home in no time.
